The Garden Clubs of Australia's 12th Annual Photo Competition 2018
Get an early start and download our Annual Photographic Competition Entry Form for 2018 (which also contains the entry conditions) closing 5th October 2018. Members of an affiliated club or a subscriber to Our Gardens can enter. Your photographs can be taken anywhere in the world (not just Australia), with subjects related to general garden scenes, productive garden scenes , edible plants, flowers, plants, or garden visitors. 
The Garden Clubs of Australia’s 11th Annual Photo Competition 2017

Your photographs are now being assessed and it is wonderful for all those entries that have been submitted in the 5 categories:

  1. Garden Scenes (anywhere around the world)

  2. Garden Visitors (birds, bees, bugs, animals)

  3. Abstract image of flowers or foliage

  4. Close-ups of flowers, foliage or floral/flower arrangements

  5. Productive Gardens or Edible Plants (fruit, vegetables, herbs)

  6. “Junior” section, covering any of the above 5 categories

The Adult winner of each category receives $100 from Garden Clubs of Australia and the finalists each receive $50 of garden products from our Sponsors.

The Junior winner receives a book on photography from Paul Lucas and the second prize winner receives $50 from Garden Clubs of Australia.

The “JUNIOR” SECTION caters for the increasing number of children/grandchildren taking photos. Entrants must be nominated by an affiliated club member or magazine subscriber, and be 16 years or under at the deadline date for receipt of entries.

The Winners and Finalists of The Garden Clubs of Australia's 2016 10th Annual Photo Competition have been announced in the Autumn issue No 72 of Our Gardens magazine pages 30 and 31.

The 6 Winners each received $100 from The GCA.

Don’t be disappointed if you did not succeed in 2016 or 2017 - enter the 2018 Competition ending on 5th October 2018, for a chance to share in the total prize pool of $1,500 value, of money from GCA and great products from our sponsors.

Other photos entered during 2016 will be progressively included on the GCA website to highlight the striking variety of images submitted.
